Deserving Kids Initiative

Sadly, many families struggle to make ends meet. Far too many families cannot even afford housing or food. This is the hidden shame of the otherwise incredible country we live in.

Our founder, Rick Rahim, has always been very active in supporting children's charities. We believe in giving back to the children in the communities we serve.

Each of our stores partners with family homeless shelters in the local community. Unfortunately, the children living in these shelters rarely enjoy any of the fun other children from more stable households enjoy. It is not the fault of the children -- and we must ensure they are not robbed of their childhood by their unfortunate circumstance.

We take great joy in regularly inviting both children and parents in such shelters to a "fun night" at our stores. We provide free play at no cost to the parents or the shelters serving them. We also provide a hot meal for the entire family during their visit.

We offer this to intact family units as well as single parents struggling to provide for their children. If for only a few hours, we want these families to enjoy a brief escape from their daily struggle. The fun and laughter from the children make it an incredible experience.

If you are an administrator or volunteer at a shelter that provides for families with school-age children, we invite you to contact us. We would be honored to work with you and set up regular "fun nights" for your clients. We pay all of the expenses. There is absolutely no cost for our services.

All arrangements are handled through our corporate office.

"Mr. Rahim...

I cannot thank you enough for your generosity in allowing me to bring a group of students to your facility...

The smiles on their faces as they exited the actual tag games were indescribable. Kids who normally couldn't afford something of this magnitude had a Saturday afternoon that they will not soon forget.

As I watched them eat their pizzas, I couldn't help but think about the fact that every single kid in this group lived in either a single-parent household or was being raised by a grandparent. I also thought about what many of these kids endure on a daily basis and I was just so happy their world stopped long enough for them to really enjoy "being a kid" at your establishment.

On behalf of my students, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much for your wonderful gift to us. "

"Dear Ultrazone Laser Tag Team...

Our residents had lit up faces after leaving your establishment. Thank you for arranging free admission to Ultrazone. They really enjoyed the food and the laser tag activity. This is something none of them had experienced, and upon exiting everyone seemed to have a load lifted off of their sholders.

I really appreciate how receptive you were to helping them, and your willingness to engage in back and forth communication via email and phone. Time is a luxury, and many would not have used this valuable asset on helping disadvantaged individuals. We are so thankful that you did.

"That was really, really fun!" "We have to come back here!" These were just a few comments made during and after visiting your establishment.

Thank you again for your generosity and kindness. For our residents the experience was unforgettable."
